Champion of Asia-Pacific Forests

To help recognize and celebrate the success of exemplary contributions to forests and forestry, FAO invites nominations for “Champion of Asia-Pacific Forests”.
This award provides an opportunity to recognize two (2) Champions who have made outstanding contributions to forest management in the region, particularly in ways that have benefited poor and marginalized people.

Photo competition

Showcase your photography skills at the APFW 2019 photo contest. With your photo, tell us how forests play a role in building peace and enhancing well-being.
Communicate the positive dimensions of forests and its role in a wider context of the environment, society, and sustainable development.

Artistic poster contest

FAO warmly invites you to demonstrate and share your creativity at APFW 2019. Posters should depict how forests relate to peace and well-being.

Video contests

Pull out your phone, grab your camera gear, tap record, and show us in a short video ways in which the region’s forests can be sustainably managed.

Asia-Pacific Forestry Week 2019

Asia-Pacific Forestry Week (APFW 2019) will be held in Songdo Convensia Convention Center, Incheon, Republic of Korea on 17-21 June 2019.
It will be one of the largest and most important forestry gatherings in the Asia-Pacific region in 2019.

"Forests for peace and wellbeing" is the overall theme of APFW 2019, which reflects the positive dimensions of forestry and suggests the need to proactively integrate forestry into the wider context of environment, society, and sustainable development, under which economic, social, human and cultural dimensions are considered in a holistic manner.
